Founded in 1965, the Hong Kong Jewellery and Jade Manufacturers Association (HKJJA) now has nearly 400 member companies. It aims to drive the development of the Hong Kong jewellery and jade industry, create business opportunities and protect the interests of the trade and consumers.
For nearly 55 years, HKJJA has been the forerunner of export promotions for the industry, helped members enter overseas markets and secured Hong Kong a prominent position in the world’s jewellery arena.
HKJJA has been extending its scope of services to cater to the ever-changing needs of the society and the trade, including: actively liaise with governments, local and global trade organisations to explore business opportunities, assist members in participating in local and overseas jewellery exhibitions to explore emerging markets and organize professional seminars and training courses.
Bilingual magazine Hong Kong Jewellery is published regularly to provide updated news on jewellery markets.
Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory (HKJSL) is established in 1993 to offer professional jade and gem authentication services to jewelers and the general public.
As a pioneer in the Hong Kong jewellery and jade industry, HKJJA is committed to fulfilling corporate social responsibilities. Since 2005, HKJJA has been the pilot of the “Adopt-A-School” Project, providing learning opportunities and pre-vocational training for students from underprivileged and ethnic minority groups.
The project runs in the cooperation of businesses and schools. HKJJA invites practitioners from the jewellery industry to share their work experience and knowledge with students.
